We are putting together a packet to hand out at our national meeting. Included will be information about ASAV, articles on judging Shagyas and their use in Trakehner breeding, and several other items of interest. If you would like to have your farm, stallion, or sale fliers included, please mail copies to Nancy Skakel. Nancy will put the packets together to hand out to attendees. Thank you for helping to promote our Shagyas!

Nancy Skakel is also organizing the presentation of horses. Please contact Nancy if you would like to bring your horse. Think about how you would like to make your presentation - liberty, in-hand, under saddle, or ? We would like to have as many Shagyas as we can muster for everyone to admire. Information from the Host: Karen Bish For any of you traveling here for the meeting. The weather here is unpredictable, especially in the Spring. Therefore I would advise you come prepared for anything. Luckily we do have the indoor arena. If there’s anything predictable about high desert weather it’s the unpredictability. Please come prepared!

ASAV-Annual Meeting 2009: The BOD has now set the place, date and time for our 2009 National Meeting. It will take place on May 1st - 3rd at the Hawkview Ranch www.hawkviewranch.com in Bend, Oregon. Bend is located in the Burns depression (high desert) east of the cascade Mts. In May the climate ought to be just beautiful, with views of the snow capped Three Sisters. There will be three days of clinics, events and national and international speakers and dignitaries. ASAV would like to thank Doug and Karen Bish for hosting the event.
